Toll of tardy bus: Pupils must play catch-up game

Late buses have become a daily occurence at Thomas Edison K-8 School in Brighton that force students to make up for lost time. Only seven buses were on time yesterday and the last bus, Bus 436, arrived 21 minutes after classes began. Bus 436 is not alone. Boston Public Schools has a transportation crisis. Nearly two months into the school year, 25 percent of school buses are still delivering students late to class.
