Living Room treasures to spark discussion

In a project inspired by artist Lee Mingwei, about three times a week, guest hosts will bring in three to five objects from their own homes to facilitate discussion with interested museumgoers.

When you walk into the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s new wing, you may see some strange objects in the Living Room, a cozy visitor-orientation space. Here staff will welcome guests and educate them about the museum. And in a project inspired by artist Lee Mingwei, about three times a week, guest hosts will bring in three to five objects from their own homes to facilitate discussion with interested museumgoers.
