In Eric Toledano’s ‘Intouchables,’ opposites attract

When French filmmaker Eric Toledano first heard the story of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo and his personal attendant Abdel Yasmin Sellou, he was blown away. “I had never heard about such a genuine relationship growing from nothing between such different people,” Toledano says of the paralyzed aristocrat and the projects kid hired to care for him. Their story inspired Toledano to make the award-winning 2011 film “Intouchables,” about how the men taught one another how to live.
