Bick loved visiting her “Auntie Dinny” in Worcester because she had a great sense of humor. One day, Dinny playfully asked, “What would you like when I die?” “She wasn’t a wealthy woman,” explains Bick, who looked around the room and said she’d always liked this delicate spindly chair. Auntie passed away about seven years ago, and lo and behold, she left her niece the chair. Bick uses it all the time; but she’ll be perching a bit more carefully now.
