How will independents factor into the Brown-Warren Senate race?

Who and what will decide the race — or at least who and what the campaigns are betting on.

Comments

I'm an independent who actuallt worked for an Independent that was running for this seat. It's totally about the cobtrol of the Senate and Frankly, I'm sick of outsiders coming in and dumping a load of money, and shutting down the free electoral process. The author takes a 'tone' of an unbiased reporter, yet he paints Brown as Independent failing to mention that you can youtube search  his name with "koch brothers" and watch him being bought. I don't contest Warren's legitimate admission of partisanship. Why? Cause she makes no claim to the contrary.

And I want to see SOMETHIUNG MORE than my tax dollars being paid into the salaries of loudmouyhed racists. THOSE ARE MY TAX DOLLARS FUNDING THE PEOPLE SEATED IN THE US SENATE OFFIC I PAY FOR should be helping citizens obtain access to the Senator and Government services, not hanging out inebriated in Southie doing the Tomahawk chop and insulting Native Americans. Brown needs to do more than give a private "one and only warning speech" to staffers. He needs to come forward and pologize to US the massachusetts voter and stop running cheap ads.

And Warren needs to show us more platform than she is. Perhaps an end to racism in the race will accommidate that end.

Regardless, I think tthe biggest slight to independent and party affiliated voters, for which this author can claim little credit for, was that so little coverage was given to the Independent candidate in this race, motly referring to Bill Cimbrelo as "other".  What a pitty it is when the Globe can't beat out the Herald and Fox News at being comprehensive in their reporting of the election.

You wanted to know what independents are thinking? Well this is what at least SOME of us are thinking.

Good Luck To My Fellow Voters In November 6th!

Who are the "Independent" voters? Well, here is a newly minted "Independent Voter," formerly registered as "Democratic" who changed due to the following reasons: Dislike of Obama's lies and incompetence; Too much aggressive harrassment from the Warren campaign for donations; Globe's unwarranted bias against Senator Brown; The ugly reaction of paid Democrat Bloggers to the Globe's twisted & untrue stories against Gov. Mitt Romney.

All the above convinced me to take a walk to the Cambridge Election Office and ask to be listed as an 'Independent Voter,' rather than be identified with the "Democrats."

If Brown is independant, why does Carl Rove support him? Rove's support should be a sign of Brown's true colors to anyone who is on the fence.

What is wrong with the voters in Massachusetts?  This race should be a landslide for Scott Brown!!  This phony carpetbagger should go back to Harvard or Oklahoma or Washington. Take your pick.

You can't be from Mass. if you think it should be a landslide for Mr. Brown.

The people who vote for Warren are the same ones who complain about polarization in Congress and both parties being controlled by extremists.

So they'll vote out the most independent guy in all of Washington and replace him with a left wing extremist, one who will do nothing but vote along with Harry Reid - even though that leads us further down the road to insolvency.

Warren has failed to win over the Independents and that's who she afraid of. She knows the demcratic population in Massachusetts will pull the handle for her no matter what she says or:does. They have been in her back pocket since day one, but what she has been trying to do is convince the Independent if she went to Washnigton she would be her own person, which with the amount of money pouring into her campaign from out of state, there is no chance of it ever happening.

There's a lot of problems with our right to vote. The first is that there are only two persons we can vote for.

We should have more choices. Secondly, why is voting day always on a work day? Why not on weekends and

why not for two days, Saturday and Sunday? Why these kinds of restrictions?
