About 4,000 people were expected at the dedication, which was held after the city’s regular Veterans Day ceremony and parade. Speakers at the dedication included Navy Capt. Francis S. O’Connor (left), the highest active duty military person from Woburn. O’Connor, a veteran of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, is listed on the monument.
