GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — An Israeli missile flattened a two-story house in a residential neighborhood of Gaza City on Sunday, killing at least 11 civilians, medical officials said, as Israel expanded its targets of its offensive to target homes of wanted militants.
The attack, the single deadliest incident of the five-day-old Israeli operation, was likely to raise international pressure for a halt to the offensive.

This is nothing compared to Syria. When one country sends rockets into another and the other fights back there will be innocents killed. You can blame Hamas.
Whoever is launching rockets into Israel is responsible for these deaths.

So what, there are many times these numbers of innocents killed in Syria each and every day, and "internation pressure" was raised up as high as it could go and that was not high enough for the cowardly international community to DO anything.
It is hard to disinguish between militants and civilians in Gaza, especially since Hamas uses human shields in an effort to deter Israeli retaliation for missile attacks on Israel. Also, Palestinian "doctors" and "journalists" often function as propagandists for the leadership of Hamas.
Who put up the headline to this AP report, the AP or the Boston Globe? Whoever did is clearly anti-Israel.
Why don't the NY Times and Boston Globe run pictures like these?

Life in southern Israel has become intolerable because of unrelenting mortar and rocket attacks from Iran's proxies in Gaza.
I agree, but why not just give up the West Bank and have done with it?
The answer, Martha, is two fold. First, it is racist to say that Jewish people have no right to live on the West Bank. Second, and more importantly, there are only a few miles between the Wests Bank and the sea. Much of Israel's population lives on that thin coastal strip. The Arabs have repeatedly attacked and tried to destroy Israel since 1948. Israel cannot afford to simply leave the West Bank without risking its very survival.
That the US continues to recognize a "special relationship" with Israel says much about our lack of morality and Israel's influence over our media coverage and politics. Israel is not defending itself against the Palestinians, it is murdering them. The Israelis have imprisoned the Gazans, neutered their rudimentary defenses, and unleashed a torrent of unspeakable violence on them. It is unforgiveable that Obama has not criticized the Israelis for their latest assault on these poor people. Of course, our Nobel Prize winning president cannot credibly criticize the Israelis when he maintains his own kill list, continues the war in Afghanistan, and supported the congressionally unsanctioned bombing of Libya. To regain any sense of decency and to safeguard us from the inevitable blowback, our government must reign in Israel or cut off all diplomatic ties. Otherwise, we are abetting Israel in mass murder.

My question is thus: Who says the deaths are real?? In the past the Hamas officials have used photos and video that was faked. They have used film from Syria and claimed it was of Israeli attacks. So why doesn't the world get upset when the blood is Jewish, but the world gets upset when it believes it is caused by Jews....
The answer is simple - you hate Jews...
People on both sides will die. Mostly civilians. That is what happens in a war. It is a sad situation but this conflict will not end without many more deaths. I suggest that the IDF drive every last person out of Gaza and force them into the West Bank. Completely demolish Gaza and clear it out for Israeli Housing. The Israeli's should stop building Israeli Housing in the West Bank and give up all the Housing they built there over the past 10 years. The U.S. should stop giving money to everyone over there.
PS=The U.S. should starting bombing IRAN back to the stone age. Iran keeps all the fires burning.
Israel has been the aggressor for years with its "facts on the ground." I for one can't blame those in the greatest open-air internment camp in the world for fighting back. If this deadly Us/Israeli hypocrisy keeps up Israel will surely destroy itself.
It is among history's bitterest ironies that one has to go back, sadly, to the Third Reich's treatment of Germany's Jewish population to find parallels for the cruelty with which the State of Israel treats Palestinian refugees, who are refugees, after all, because of one of history's most unjust land grabs. And it is a further irony that an American citizen has far greater freedom to exercise his First Amendment right to criticize the government of Israel from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem than from Washington or New York. Doubt me? Then just look at the slavish obeisance our craven politicians pay even to the most extravagant claims of the Israeli government's lobby in the US. Thus has the land of the free and the home of the brave become enmeshed in a war on terror that is neither of our making nor in our interests.
From what I read, it appears that only Israelis and Americans believe the Israelis' propaganda. No person, not pre-conditioned to perceive the situation other than it is, could possibly side with the Israelis.
