Jurors in the corruption trial of former state treasurer Timothy P. Cahill went home Friday without reaching a verdict and will return to Suffolk Superior Court for further deliberations on Monday. The jurors have been meeting since Tuesday afternoon, about 24 hours in total. Cahill and his former campaign manager, Scott Campbell, have been charged with conspiring to use a $1.5 million publicly funded lottery ad blitz to boost Cahill’s run for governor in 2010.

This trial is a travesty and a waste of money. How anyone could believe that this prosecution isn't politically motivated I don't know.
