Newton police officers egg a superior’s home

The Newton Police Department, coming off an episode that led to the departure of their police chief, now faces a report that five of its officers egged the Framingham home of a Newton police sergeant as a prank.

In a statement today Newton Interim Police Chief Howard Mintz said the five off-duty officers who were involved in egging the superior officer’s house Dec. 11 violated the department’s conduct standards and will face discipline.

It's a prank. Lighten up a little!   Why so butt hurt?
