Boston police seized a sawed-off shotgun and arrested three men after a cellphone robbery in Mattapan, police said.
Police said a 29-year-old man reported he was robbed at gunpoint by two men who had a sawed-off shotgun in the parking lot of a Walgreen’s at the corner of Morton and Norfolk streets on Wednesday night.
He told police the gunmen stole a Samsung Galaxy Note cellpone, his driver’s license, and large amount of cash.
The victim said the men fled the area in a Chevy sedan.
Police spotted the vehicle at the corner of Blue Hill Avenue operated by a woman. Officers stopped the car and found the victim’s stolen items and the sawed-off shotgun, police said in a statement.
Jasmin T. Cobb, 25, of Dorchester, Jermaine O. Omoregie, 23, of Milton, and Neil E. Tom, 23, were arrested and charged with armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a sawed-off shotgun, police said.
All three suspects were arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
