Widespread cancellations expected; Logan to close

Airlines, passenger trains, and bus lines are canceling service Friday in anticipation of a major snowstorm.

Airlines are planning to shut operations at Logan International Airport early Friday afternoon and won’t resume flights until Saturday afternoon because of the expected snow storm, Massachusetts Port Authority officials said. Airlines are offering refunds for flights canceled due to the storm and waiving change fees for travel scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
