Shoveling snow
Since you don't own a snowplow or didn't find time to fix it this season, it's time for some good, old-fashioned snow shoveling. How to approach the daunting task of removing a few feet of accumulated snow.

YOUR CHALLENGE
You need to shovel over two feet of snow to clear your walkways, sidewalk, and cars.

Image
Entrance
If you can, it is best to remove snow in intervals, or layers, than to wait until all the snow is all down. Starting from the entrance your house, clearing a path to your sidewalk.

Image
Sidewalks
City laws require you to remove snow, slush, and ice from public sidewalks and curb ramps abutting your property to ensure the flow and safety of pedestrian traffic typically within 3 hours of snowfall ending.

Image
The car
Brush snow off your car, then, clear around it.

Image
Think before shoveling
Move snow the shortest distance. Shovel a strip clear along the perimeter. From the center to the edge push the snow into the cleared area. Lift and throw the snow out of the area.
