4/19/1960 Paavo Kotila, 32, of Finland reaches out to break tape with his fingers as he walks across finish line to win 64th annual Boston AA Marathon. Deputy Mayor John P. McMorrow holds aloft the wreath of victory. Kotila ran away form a field of 166 to win the 26 mile 385 yard grind in time of 2:20:54.
