Two men were shot in the span of about 20 minutes on Friday night in separate incidents in Roxbury and Dorchester, police said. Boston police Superintendent William Evans said a man was shot in the upper body at about 8 p.m. on Fenno Street near Walnut Avenue. He was taken to Boston Medical Center and his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Police arrested one suspect and recovered a gun near the shooting scene, but another man fled to a nearby apartment building and later escaped. Officers seized two guns inside the building, according to Evans. Police said another male victim was shot in the leg near 5 Edwin Street in Dorchester, about 20 minutes before the Roxbury shooting.
