A year of complaints

Hundreds of times a day, Bostonians dial 311, the Mayor’s 24-hour hotline. Along with the usual pothole repair or snow removal complaint, residents also call about overgrown weeds, colonial gas light maintenance, and trees on fire. The following map shows calls made during a 12-month period between June 1, 2012 and May 31, 2013.
