An Attleboro man threw a party attended by underage drinkers, exposed himself to one teenage girl there, then inappropriately touched her, police said.

Officers responded to 238 South Main St. just after midnight on Sunday to investigate reports of a fight. The underage partygoers in attendance told police the fight began when Jonathan Silveira assaulted the teenage girl.

Another teenage girl had reported a similar incident involving Silveira days earlier, police said.

Silveira, 32, did not answer the door when police arrived at his apartment just after midnight Sunday, running out the back door and jumping from the deck instead, police said.

But officers entered anyway because neighbors told them Silveira he had been in a fight and police believed he may have been injured, Attleboro police said Sunday.

Inside, officers said they found containers for alcoholic beverages strewn about the apartment.

Silveira was later found sleeping in a neighbor’s apartment. Police said he had broken into the unit.

He was arrested and charged with multiple charges related to the incident, including indecent assault and battery of a person over 14. Silveira is expected to be arraigned on these charges Tuesday in Attleboro District Court.
