Patrick gets high marks from likely voters

Governor Deval Patrick, facing a run of troubles in his final months in office, remains popular with state voters, but people view him more favorably as a person than as a governor, according to a new Boston Globe poll.

Just over half of likely Massachusetts voters surveyed approve of the way Patrick is handling his job, while 39 percent disapprove. Fifty-seven percent have a favorable opinion of him, while only 39 percent of those polled have an unfavorable view. Patrick will conclude his second term in January and is not running for re-election.
