Chess notes

Here is a very compact game from the US Chess League. It was played on first board between Sam Shankland of the New England Nor’easters and Larry Kaufman of the Baltimore Kingfishers. Shankland, a Brandeis student, is well known here. Kaufman, as a student at MIT, was a habitué of the Boylston Chess Club. He is now a consultant for the computer chess program Rybka and is a former US senior champion.
