Annie Leibovitz focuses on places, not faces

Celebrated photographer Annie Leibovitz was at the JFK Library last night to discuss her new picture book, “Pilgrimage,’’ focused on the places where people who inspire her have lived and worked. The book includes photos of Henry David Thoreau ’s dwelling, and the homes of Eleanor Roosevelt , Marian Anderson , and Abraham Lincoln , among others. Leibovitz, a contributor to Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone, is well known for her iconic portraits of rock ‘n’ roll stars and screen idols.
