Let the end be the end, when it comes to TV shows

Right now, there are movies of “24,’’ “Rome,’’ “Friday Night Lights,’’ “Arrested Development,’’ “Entourage,’’ and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer’’ in various stages of planning and development. These movies will allow us to spend time with their characters once again, continuing the narrative of the show, and they will let us feel as if endings - final episodes - aren’t really endings after all.
