Comedy’s cross-dressing humor just doesn’t work

ABC’s new cross-dressing comedy “Work It’’ tries to wring wacky hijinks out of the unemployment desperation of two men. As likable as the lead actors are and contrary to the show’s title, the sitcom does not work thanks in large part to clunky writing full of racial stereotyping, sexism, and general dunderheadedness. “Work It,’’ starring Ben Koldyke and Amaury Nolasco, premieres tonight at 8:30 on channel 5.
