Delonte West wasn’t banned from White House celebration

It’s apparently not true that former Celtic Delonte West was prevented from joining his Dallas Mavericks teammates at yesterday’s White House celebration. West had told Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he was “banned’’ from the fete for last season’s NBA champions, but he wasn’t. Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan told the AP that West could, in fact, have taken part.
