’60s band the Remains continue on

The Remains famously disbanded in 1966, fresh off its tour opening for the Beatles and a few weeks before the national release of its debut album. Guitarist and singer Barry Tashian, drummer Chip Damiani, electric piano player Bill Briggs, and Miller formed the Remains in 1964 while students at Boston University. Those same four guys will be together again in the BU neighborhood this week playing tonight at Brighton Music Hall and tomorrow at the Paradise as part of the “Hot Stove, Cool Music’’ benefit concert.
