10 painting gems at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

The Gardner lost several of its greatest works of art in the notorious robbery of 1990, but it still has some of the finest artistic treasures in North America. Here are 10 of the best paintings.

1. Titian “Europa’’

Painting doesn’t get better than this. The mythological scene, which depicts Europa being abducted by Zeus in the form of a bull, is a late work by the Venetian genius, painted for Spain’s King Phillip II.
