What Mark Wahlberg said about his ability to thwart the 9/11 terrorists was bad, but Shane Smith’s attempt to capitalize on the actor’s comments is unforgivable. Smith, cofounder of Vice magazine, challenged Wahlberg to a fight via Twitter. “I will fight Mark Whalberg [sic] and if he beats me I will conceed [sic] he could have stopped 9/11,’’ Smith tweeted. “But if I win he has to stop ‘acting.’ ’’ Here’s hoping Wahlberg accepts the offer and whups him. In an interview in the new Men’s Journal, Wahlberg said if he’d been on one of the doomed 9/11 flights, “it wouldn’t have went down like it did.’’ He later apologized.
