Glenn Close is woman behind the man in ‘Albert Nobbs’

This was supposed to be Glenn Close’s year. After more than three decades as an actress, with some 40 films to her credit, the 64-year-old entertainer, who has never won an Academy Award, was expected to be a heavy favorite come Oscar time.
