Inside Comedy 11 p.m., Showtime
“There’s a way in which comedians talk to each other, like jazz musicians talk,’’ David Steinberg told reporters at the TV Critics Association press tour recently. “They know things about each other that outsiders don’t know.’’ Steinberg hopes to unveil those in-depth exchanges in this 10-episode series - coproduced by Steve Carell - as he sits for spontaneous chats with comic pals like Jerry Seinfeld, Don Rickles, Larry David, Chris Rock, and Ellen DeGeneres. (If the idea rings a bell it’s because Steinberg did a somewhat similar show on TV Land from 2005-2007.) Pictured (from left): Rickles and Steinberg.

This immersive, new, six-part docu-series from Peter Berg (writer-director of “Friday Night Lights’’ and actor in films such as “The Last Seduction’’) opened quietly last week. It’s an artful, verite look at the life of the revered, Dedham-raised boxing trainer - who has worked with Oscar de la Hoya and Mike Tyson among others - as he makes his way in the world of the sweet science while also dealing with Parkinson’s disease. You can check out this repeat of the premiere before tomorrow’s next new episode.
