Ryan Gosling speaks softly but drives hard

It’s been some kind of month for Ryan Gosling on the DVD front. A couple of weeks ago, we had him getting down in the muck with George Clooney in the political thriller “The Ides of March,’’ a role that earned Gosling a Golden Globes nod (and maybe should have garnered more awards consideration). Now comes “Drive’’ (2011), in which he speaks ear-strainingly softly but expertly shifts a big stick as a movie stunt driver moonlighting as a robbery wheelman.
