Spikes in the pink for Patriots send-off

Bill Greene/globe staff

When Brandon Spikes walked onto the field during yesterday’s send-off rally at Gillette Stadium, some in the crowd must have wondered who invited the Pepto-Bismol bottle to the party. Displaying a unique sense of style, the Pats linebacker wore a pink striped suit with a pink shirt, tie, and pocket square. “Brought the lucky suit out again,’’ Spikes tweeted yesterday. Seems No. 55 previously rocked the pink suit before his alma mater, the Florida Gators, won the national championship. Let’s hope it’s lucky one more time.
