NIGHT WATCH: Salsa Nights at Havana Club

Boston's club scene, one party at a time

Havana Club turns up the heat Friday and Saturday nights with salsa, cha-cha and merengue. Though the real party starts at 10, there is a lesson hosted by the Giraldo brothers from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. After a brief warm up, attendees break into beginner and intermediate groups. Johhny Giraldo and wife Felicita were married in 2005 at the club and teach the beginners. “Johnny is a Latin Patrick Swayze, if you will,’’ says Jeff Robinson, the club president.
