Pawngo apologizes for Butterfingers stunt

On second thought, maybe dumping hundreds of Butterfinger candy bars in Copley Square wasn’t such a good idea. Pawngo.com today apologized for the stunt, which it characterized as “misguided and misdirected.’’ You think? In case you missed it, the online pawnshop thought it would funny - a “lighthearted gesture,’’ in their words - to deliver the candy bars with a sign reading: “Thank You Wes Welker .’’
