Other Lives a lively blend of grandeur, intimacy

“Tamer Animals,’’ the sophomore album from Oklahoma indie rockers Other Lives, is already a widescreen record, a tug-of-war between acoustic melodies and orchestral arrangements that gradually swell and lift the songs like helium balloons free to float into the ether. It’s hard to fathom the album getting any bigger, but that’s exactly what happened at Great Scott on Feb. 16 before a nearly full house.
