The BRIT Awards 2012 9 p.m., Fuse

Adele made a clean sweep at the recent Grammy Awards and is poised to do the same at this British trophy derby. The owner of last year’s best-selling album, ‘’21,’’ is up for three awards including album of the year. While the show is UK-centric, several US artists are in contention for hardware, including Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Foo Fighters, Nicki Minaj, and, refreshingly, Ryan Adams. In between the handing out of awards, Adele (pictured), Coldplay, Florence + the Machine, Bruno Mars, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, and Ed Sheeran will perform.

It Gets Better 11 p.m., MTV

Newspaper columnist Dan Savage and his husband, Terry Miller, started the “It Gets Better’’ project in 2010. The pair posted an encouraging video to YouTube to provide solace and hope to LGBT youth who were being bullied or struggling to come to terms with their sexuality or gender identity. That video snowballled into thousands of videos contributed by both everyday people and famous faces including President Obama. This hourlong special, also airing on Logo, takes off from that project and tells the stories of several teens.
