STAGE REVIEW

A ‘Romantic’ evening with two Broadway singers

WALTHAM - Sunday’s cabaret concert was a rare treat: the chance to hear two Broadway stars perform their favorite songs from the stage and screen accompanied simply and elegantly by a pianist. Rachel York and Brent Barrett, who have dozens of Broadway credits between them, called their show “Isn’t It Romantic?’’ and for the crowd at the Reagle Theatre, it certainly was. The 23 songs in the two-act show include lots of opportunities for the pair to shine separately and together, accompanied on piano by music director Eugene Gwozdz.
