“Pioneers in American 20th-Century Photography,’’ which runs at the Fitchburg Art Museum, isn’t so much a show as showing off. Which is OK - more than OK, actually - since the showing off is justified. The museum has decided to focus on enlarging its photography collection, presently comprising some 450 photographs items. “Pioneers’’ consists of just 16 images, all recent additions to the museum’s collection. Several of them are as famous any in 20th-century photography. .
