Sporting her new book

Olympic gold medalist figure skater and children’s author Kristi Yamaguchi dropped by Wellesley Books Friday to greet fans and sign copies of her children’s book “It’s A Big World, Little Pig.’’ More than 100 people lined up to meet the celebrity author. Among them was 5-year-old Leah Wechsler, who got her copy signed while her mom, Robin, and brother Eli, 2, looked on.

Joseph P. Kahn, Hayley Kaufman, and Beth Teitell of the Globe staff contributed. Read the Names blog at Names can be reached at or at 617-929-8253.
