Boston fitness guru Zayna Gold releases DVD

It’s been 20 years in the making, but Boston fitness guru Zayna Gold is finally releasing an exercise DVD. Filming it, she noted, was harder than holding the plank position for two minutes. The first shoot was canceled by August’s Tropical Storm Irene, meaning the camera crew, cast, and makeup artist all had to be rescheduled. (What, you thought people worked out without mascara?) Gold vows that the 60-minute video, called “Boston Body Barre,’’ can transform someone’s body in 30 sessions. Apparently, she’s speaking from experience. After religiously doing the routine herself, an acquaintance approached her one day, and said: “I hope this doesn’t sound rude, but did you get liposuction?’’
