Artists dabble collectively in whimsy

Collaborators work off each other’s images in playful mash-ups

Back in 2006, painter Morgan Bulkeley had a party at his house in the Berkshires. He and several old friends were celebrating the opening of an exhibition of their work at a Great Barrington gallery. In the 1970s and ’80s, Bulkeley and artists such as Scott Prior, Mark Cooper, and Gerry Bergstein shared a studio building in Cambridge, and at the time called themselves the Boston Ten.
