Members of Youth Underground learn life lessons from the roles they play

Four years ago Vincent Siders, a star of the Boston theater scene and Maggie Moore Abdow, an up-and-coming stage manager and producer had an idea: start a theater program for Boston area teens. The idea in and of itself wasn’t unique. But the way their program has grown is unique. In the beginning the kids were often reluctant, underprivileged minorities. As those kids succeded, better off peers got on board. And the program experienced a kumbaya-style reinvention.
