Alex Hall to launch online quarterly, Coup Boston

Having spent the last 10 years working at nearly every publication in town, fashion guru Alexandra Hall thinks she knows what this city is missing: a magazine that will push boundaries and help Bostonians realize that they should stop complaining about their city and look at its stylish strengths. On Monday, Hall will launch Coup Boston, an online-only quarterly focused on what she describes as “the five pillars of lifestyle.’’ She describes them as food, fashion, beauty, home design, travel, along with a small amount of society coverage. “Even though we’re covering some of the same things that other publications do, we’re going to be doing it from a very different perspective,’’ Hall says. “Our approach is definitely more risk taking, and it’s a more global perspective on Boston.’’ The first issue features a piece about Will Gilson’s forthcoming Inman Square eatery bridgestreet.
