Mondo Thursdays at The Plough and Stars

Mondo Thursdays, which happen the third Thursday of each month at The Plough and Stars, are experiments in sound. Organizers book musicians in bands that are typically “louder” (think fast-paced garage rock or hardcore) and bring them to the Plough. “It’s a small, intimate setting, and we have them play acoustic or something a little quieter,” says Jim Seery, booker for The Plough. It’s a good chance for bands that would otherwise be too loud or too numerous to play the Plough’s hallowed cozy quarters.
