Final Witness  10 p.m., Channel 5

These reenacted true-crime stories are told through the voice of the murder victim — the “final witness” of the title, played by an actor. It’s a bold approach that wants to be haunting like “The Lovely Bones” but really just seems cheesy and false. Who knows what the real victim’s point of view would be? While there is something seductive about the show’s melodramatic storytelling, which veers between acted scenes and real-life family members and friends, it leaves a bad taste.
