Coma 9 p.m., A&E
This two-parter, which concludes tomorrow night at 9, is based on the best-selling Robin Cook medical thriller and the 1978 movie starring Michael Douglas and Genevieve Bujold. This time, the story of seemingly healthy surgery patients lapsing into comas stars Lauren Ambrose, Steven Pasquale, Geena Davis, Ellen Burstyn, and Richard Dreyfuss (pictured). The remake, which moves the action from Boston to Atlanta, is timed to coincide with our country’s concern about health care. By the way, it was produced by Ridley Scott and his late brother, Tony.
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives 10 p.m., Food Network
This title always makes me think of “Lions and tigers and bears, oh my,” or “Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves.” Because I am just that simple. But I mention the show because tonight’s episode is set in Massachusetts. Host Guy Fieri comes to town to sample Italian-style seafood and roast beef sandwiches.
