Dirty Jobs Down Under 10 p.m., Discovery
It’s that dead moment before fall TV kicks in. Luther 9 p.m., BBC America
Wait, don’t get excited “Luther” and Idris Elba fans. I’m mentioning the show here because BBC America is reairing season 1, and I want to nod to the show for viewers who haven’t seen it but who like twisty and twisted thrillers. By the way, there will be a third season of “Luther,” but not until next year at the earliest. Also, those involved in the show are talking about following up season three with a feature film.
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo 10 p.m., TLC
