Lucy has to tell Ricky she’s preggers. The show that swept the comedy awards at Sunday’s Emmy Awards returns for season four tonight with Gloria breaking the news to family members. So yes, Mitchell, Claire, and Manny are going to have a half-sibling. While “Modern Family” isn’t as quietly revelatory as it was during season one, it’s still a warm, character-based sitcom. Revenge: The First Chapter 10 p.m., Channel 5
Here’s your chance to get on the crazy train that is this “Countess of Monte Cristo” in the Hamptons. The soap opera returns for season two in its new time slot on Sunday at 9 p.m., and so ABC is airing this recap hour in its old perch. “Nashville,” the new country-music soap with Connie Britton (I almost wrote “the great Connie Britton” — eww), will take over this slot in two weeks.
