Critic’s corner: What’s on TV tonight

The Mortified Sessions 10 p.m., Sundance

This show is about childhood embarrassment and the catharsis of purging it in public. We get to watch famous people confess to their most awkward early moments as they look through childhood artifacts such as diaries and letters. Tonight is the season two premiere, and the guest is Busy Philipps (pictured), from “Cougar Town” and that opus of teen angst, “Freaks and Geeks.” Coming this season: Marc Maron, Jason Ritter, and Kristin Bauer van Straten from “True Blood.” Yes, the woman who plays vampire Pam was once a child.
