“Who am I? Why am I here?” Aw, remember war hero Admiral James Stockdale in the 1992 Vice Presidential debate? Or Senator Lloyd Bentsen taking down Senator Dan Quayle in 1988, saying “I knew Jack Kennedy, Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine; senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy.” They are debate greatest hits. Let’s see if Vice President Joe Biden (right) and Representative Paul Ryan (left) enter the pantheon tonight. Martha Raddatz is the moderator.

Last Resort 8 p.m., Channel 5

It’s great to see Andre Braugher (right, with Sahr Ngaujah) back on TV, and in a role that lets him go a little bit crazy. He was great on “Homicide: Life on the Street,” but on this show, about a rogue American submarine, he is more extroverted and showy. His eyes go a little bonkers every now and then. Tonight, he’s looking for three crew members who have gone missing.
