For the first time since the Nixon adminstration, the Fitchburg Art Museum has a new director. Nicholas Capasso, deputy director at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, will replace Peter Timms in December. Timms is the longest-serving director of a New England museum, having been in charge since 1973. Capasso (left) served as deCordova’s acting director in 2007-2008 and has been at the Lincoln institution for 22 years.
