Nicholas Capasso to take over as Fitchburg Art Museum’s new director

Nicholas Capasso, newly appointed director of the Fitchburg Art Museum.

For the first time since the Nixon adminstration, the Fitchburg Art Museum has a new director. Nicholas Capasso, deputy director at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, will replace Peter Timms in December. Timms is the longest-serving director of a New England museum, having been in charge since 1973. Capasso (left) served as deCordova’s acting director in 2007-2008 and has been at the Lincoln institution for 22 years.
