Refuge in dance In the late 1980s, refugees of the Cambodian genocide formed the Angkor Dance Troupe in Lowell. The ensemble celebrates its 25th anniversary with the world premiere of “Apsara Dancing Stones,” a contemporary dance drama directed by Cambodian classical dance expert Master Phousita Huy. It explores Cambodian spiritual, political, and cultural history in a show that fuses modern and classical Cambodian styles.
