Rise of the Zombies 9 p.m., Syfy
The latest campy gorefest from the fine folks who brought you such gems as “Mansquito” and “Mega Python vs. Gatoroid” starring Tiffany and Debbie Gibson, concerns, what else, a zombie apocalypse. Mariel Hemingway, LeVar Burton, and French Stewart — we will refrain from resurrection jokes about their careers . . . or will we? — star as survivors who flee their stronghold at Alcatraz when it is besieged by the walking dead. Not to be confused with “The Walking Dead.”
Trisha’s Southern Kitchen 11 a.m., Food Network

(Perhaps Chris Gaines will make an appearance?) Brooks’s daughters Allie and August also paint their game faces and convince Trisha to do the same when the trio and a friend work up a group costume as Kiss.
